Remarks
Data can be archived or by SSDA itself or by ICPSR or by UCLA Social Science Data Archive Dataverse (http://thedata.harvard.edu/dvn/dv/ssda_ucla) or by UCLA Library or by California Digital Library. Data are primarily acquired through UCLA’s membership in the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR). The Social Science Data Archive (https://www.re3data.org/repository/r3d100011315) is an separate collection. It was started back in the late 1960s - mainframe days - and continues to be an active, curated collection. In the early 2000s the SSDA was incorporated into UCLA Library where it continues to specialize in preserving social science data. Both are part of UCLA Library and managed by the Data Science Center but historically are somewhat independent.
